Smaug Epoch is strong, durable and supportive making it perfect for carrying bigger children and toddlers. Mouldable and thin in hand, it will need just a little wear to become soft enough for newborns. The breathable nature of this fabric makes it perfect for warmer weather as hemp’s naturally moisture-wicking properties will help to keep you both cool in the summer months. Hemp is a wonderfully sustainable yarn with low environmental impact which is why we love using it in our slings.
This supportive wrap features spearmint hemp which picks out the fusion of our much-loved Smaug and Oakenshield patterns. The fearsome dragon sits on top of shields against a background that transitions from black to purple, through fuschia and finally back to black.
Beneath the great beast Elven script translates as, "My teeth are swords; my claws are spears! My wings are a hurricane." This iconic quote, spoken by Smaug himself, echoes the dragon's immense power and the unstoppable force he represents and the challenge facing Thorin and his company.
