What is the Try Before You Buy Program?
The Try Before You Buy (TBYB) Program is a free baby carrier trial service from Little Zen One. You can try up to 5 different baby carriers, each for 7 full days, before you decide whether or not to buy. It's a pressure-free way to find the perfect fit.
How does the TBYB program work?
Step 1: Sign Up
Start by joining the Little Zen One Chatter Facebook Group. Then, find the featured post or go directly to the TBYB Sign-Up Form.
On the form, you can choose the carriers you'd like to try. Not sure? Choose “Shortest List” and we’ll help!
Step 2: Get Tagged
Each week, we post a #TBYB-Time tag list in the Facebook group. Once tagged, you will be able to join a Messenger Group Chat. You may also be added you to the Group Chat, so watch your "Message Requests."
Step 3: Join a Host Order
In the chat, you’ll be added to a Host Order (a group of people who will all try the same carrier). Follow instructions in the pinned messages to prepare.
Step 4: Try the Carrier
Once it arrives, try the carrier for 7 full days. You can share your experience in the Facebook group using #TBYB to enter our monthly $40 gift card giveaway.
If you love the carrier, message us for an invoice and receive 15% off. If it’s not a fit, no problem — just send it to the next person in your group.
Step 5: Try More Carriers
You can try up to 5 carriers for free. Make a purchase of $125 or more to unlock 5 additional trials.

What are the shipping guidelines?
You are responsible for shipping the carrier to the next participant after your 7-day trial.
- Cost in the USA: $9–$16 USD
- Cost in Canada: $13–$22 CAD
- Reuse packaging when possible
- Use PirateShip (USA) or Chit Chats/Stallion (Canada) for discounted labels
- Always include all accessories and paperwork

Can I wash the carriers?
Please contact our team for approval before washing any TBYB carrier. Spot cleaning with baby-safe soap or a Buncha Farmers stain stick is usually enough. For full washing, instructions will be provided for all-cotton carriers only.
Do I need to share photos?
Nope! Photo sharing is completely optional. But every post you make in our Facebook group counts as one entry in our monthly giveaway for a $40 gift card. You can choose whether or not we use your photo content elsewhere.
Are there pet or germ restrictions?
Please avoid exposing carriers to any kind of smoke. We do not have pet restrictions. Germ-wise, you do not need to wash items before trying them. Carriers are safe to use even if they’ve passed through multiple homes.
How do I buy a TBYB carrier?
If you’re the first host, you get 10% off and free shipping. If you're a later host, you get 15% off and free shipping. Want a different style? We’ll send you a 10% off code to shop once you return the one you tried.
Why is there a 5 carrier limit?
TBYB is free for caregivers but requires time, staff, and shipping materials. Your first 5 trials are free. A purchase of $125 or more unlocks 5 more. You can continue this cycle with future qualifying purchases.
Do I need to join the Facebook group?
Yes. The entire program is run through the Little Zen One Chatter Facebook Group. That’s how we communicate, tag you, and organize Host Orders.
